We had the great pleasure of welcoming the Telespazio team for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the new tracking system that will upgrade the iconic 17m antenna at the Lario site.
During this key milestone, all project equipment — from motors and optical encoders to PDUs, ACU550, DTR500 and the scanner plate — was interconnected and tested using the project’s cabling. A full series of functional checks validated that everything works seamlessly together, ensuring a smooth installation phase on site.
Once the system is fully validated, it will be carefully disassembled, shipped, and reassembled at Lario — ready for its Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
FAT is much more than a technical checkpoint. It’s also a unique opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen our collaboration with clients we truly enjoy working with. Time to chill out and enjoy each other company.
